This cute little hat is an adaptation for babies of my “Simple sample hat” pattern: thinner yarn ideal for the little ones (soft, washable), and elasticity that makes it comfortable and cosy.

Only basic skills are needed: knit and purl in the round, and a basic decrease technique.
Instructions are written.

This unisex pattern is knit in the round and bottom up, and comes in 4 baby sizes:

• Preemie (P) : to fit head circumference from 28 to 33 cm (11” to 13”).
• Newborn (N) : to fit head circumference from 33 to 38 cm (13” to 15”).
• 6 months (6) : to fit head circumference from 38 to 43 cm (15” to 17”).
• 12 months (12) : to fit head circumference from 43 to 48 cm (17” to 19”).

The yarn used in the sample shown is Pingouin Pingorex Baby (50g = 210 m/230 yds).
This yarn is now discontinued.

Ce mignon petit bonnet est une adaptation pour bébés de mon “simple sample hat” : fil plus fin et idéal pour les “bouts de chou”, car lavable et doux, et suffisamment élastique pour obtenir un bonnet confortable qui s’adapte bien à la tête d’un bébé sans la serrer.
Il est aussi très agréable à tricoter, car c’est un ouvrage rapide à faire et au cours duquel on ne s’ennuie jamais, et puis…tout simplement…c’est un très joli bonnet !

Il est travaillé en rond et de bas en haut, soit avec des aiguilles à deux pointes, soit avec des aiguilles circulaires (si vous préférez la technique du “Magic loop”).

Ce modèle unisexe vous est proposé en 4 tailles :

• prématuré (P), pour s’adapter à un tour de tête de 28 à 33 cm ;
• naissance (N), pour s’adapter à un tour de tête 33 à 38 cm ;
• 6 mois (6), pour s’adapter à un tour de tête 38 à 43 cm ;
• 12 mois (12), pour s’adapter à un tour de tête 43 à 48 cm.
