Simple Scarf
Last Christmas my nephew wanted a scarf. Did I mention he is a teenager? Knowing how picky they can be, I designed a very simple scarf I felt he would like. According to my sister (who may be lying through her teeth) he loved the scarf and wore it proudly. Again, since many men seem to prefer simple (or boring) designs, I thought this would make a good addition to this issue.
The scarf is knit lengthwise in garter stitch. The only pattern is provided by six rows in different colors. When you knit rows in a different color in garter stitch, it produces a ridge on one side and a broken ridge on the other. I alternated the color pattern so that the scarf is reversible.
