Simple Seed Stitch Pillow
Crocheted seed stitch is one of the most appealing and versatile
crochet stitch patterns. It’s so simple to do, but depending on
your color choices, it can take on a variety of looks.
This simple seed stitch pillow has narrow stripes on one side and
a bold asymmetric stripe on the other. Make it from worsted
weight yarn in colors to fit your decor. The pattern includes
written and charted instructions and has been tested and tech edited. It uses American crochet
terminology.
You’ll need two (or more colors) of heavy worsted-weight yarn and a 14” square pillow form. The pillow cover is designed to measure about 12” 30.5 cm square so that it fits with negative ease. It is meant to stretch a little bit over the pillow form.
Optional: If you do not want the white of the pillow form to show through, sew a simple fabric cover in a color to match your yarn. Cover the pillow form with the fabric before inserting it into your crocheted cover.
