Materials Needed:
5.5mm (I) hook, or hook needed to obtain gauge
3.75mm (F) hook for edging
400-500 yards Caron One Pound in Cape Cod Blue, Light Grey, Medium Grey Mix or color of your choice

Scissors
Stitches Used:
ch = chain
sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
dc = double crochet
FPsc = front post single crochet
BPsc = back post single crochet
rsc = reverse single crochet (crab stitch)
Additional Terms:
Working in the 3rd Loop of hdc – Instructions: Look at the top of the stitch, and locate the sideways “V”, bend the stitch to look at the back and you should see another “V” made by the “yarn over”. You’ll be working into the back loop of that “V”. This is called the 3rd loop.
RS = right side
WS = wrong side
st/sts = stitch/stitches
Gauge:
12 hdc in 4” or 36 hdc sts in 12’.
Measurements:
6 “ wide by 5’, 6’ or 7’ long
Additional Notes:
-ch 1 at beginning of row/round does not count as a stitch.
-Ribbed texture is only visible on the front side. When you are asked to cut your yarn and reattach it to the other end make sure the front side of the scarf is facing you! Yes, there will be several ends to weave in when you finish crocheting the scarf.
