This pattern is a revival of my Blue Sky Shrug originally published through Hilltop Yarn. Based on feedback from knitters there and to accommodate a wider variety of yarns, the gauge has been changed slightly

A simple, yet perfect layering piece for those days when the weather can’t seem to decide what the season is, or the airconditioning in the office is turned up to “Arctic”. The flexible pattern provides guidance for adapting the fit of the shrug to suit your shape and your mood. This shrug pattern is suitable for newer knitters and experienced knitters alike. Worked in a combination of garter stitch and stockinette stitch with simple shaping, it can be worked as is or used as a canvas for that lace or texture stitch pattern you’ve been eyeing in a stitch dictionary.
