Simple Simon's Mitts Crochet Version
by Lisa Krack
These mitts were designed with the beginner in mind - they are worked flat, and then seamed, and the thumb is basically a strategically placed hole. Short rows are used to shape the thumb gusset.
Please read the notes, some advanced crocheters may find the notes to be “common knowledge” but I included them anyway to help aid the beginner and to make the pattern directions short and easy to follow, especially since short rows can be intimidating for some.
