This fun, placemat is a great way for the beginning knitter to practice while creating a cute and useful placemat. The slip stitch is one of the most versatile in knitting, providing visual interest and texture without any work.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Approximately 18” wide 12” long (42.75cm wide X 30.50cm long)
MATERIALS
Yarn: Loops & Threads, Worsted Weight, 100% Cotton. Each ball is 95yds (86m)/2oz (56.7g)
(Do not use as a trivet/potholder if using acrylic yarn. Acrylic will melt at high temps.)
Color: Pick any color you enjoy - The designer used Pear Ombre
Total yardage required for 1 placemat: 105 yds (96m), 113g (2 balls of the suggested yarn)
Needles: US 7 (4.5mm) needles
Tapestry Needle: To weave in ends
GAUGE - Gauge is not important to this project. Designer used 2 balls of the suggested yarn.
