This is a pattern for a simple slouchy hat that is made to your measurements. It is worked flat, so it is easy to size it up or down.

Yarn needed: This is a fun pattern to do with leftover bits of yarn, as long as they are all the same weight. While the sample was done with 180 yards of sport weight yarn, the directions given allow you to change the weight of yarn easily.

Hooks needed: A crochet hook appropriate for your yarn, and a Tunisian crochet hook one size larger. For sport weight yarn I use a 3mm crochet hook and a 4mm Tunisian crochet hook.
