Simple Steeked Shawl
This shawl is an excellent way to practice steeking with minimal commitment and very little fear. I got the idea when I discovered a bright orange scarf in the yarn stash giveaway of the talented Kirsten Hipsky. It is worked in a simple trellis lace pattern from Barbara Walker’s “A Treasury of Knitting Patterns”. Kirsten worked her version back and forth, but I adapted it to be worked in the round with a steek that creates the fringe.
