This beginner-friendly baby hat pattern is knit from the bottom up, and easy to add decorative elements too (stripes, applique, pompoms) if you like.

The finished hat measures approximately 8 inches from edge to top, and 14 inches in circumference,(measurements do not take into account the fabric stretching up to around 2 inches).

-4 Size 10 double point needles (DPNs)
-12 WPI yarn (I usually use Red Heart
Supersaver acrylic. If you’re using something else, yarn density can effect gauge so I recommend doing a swatch)
-darning needle to weave in ends
-you may want a stitch marker to indicate which needle ends the round, and/or a row counter

Gauge:
4x4 inches = 16x21 stitches in stockinette
