This wisp of a wrap was inspired by my friend Ruth’s need for a cozy walking wrap for fall and winter strolls along her favorite Gulf Coast beach. I chose this simple knit-and-purl diagonal pattern repeat for its easy knitability and its reversible wearability. The texture brings to mind riffs in the sand after a big tide. An elegant seed stitch borders all edges.
