Simple sweater
I wanted to knit something fast, simple and that I can wear a lot in the winter, so I made this sweater. I used a lace mohair with a 6mm / US 10 needle in a stockinette stitch, and I acomplished all I wanted.
Simple is a top-down raglan sweater with two different weight yarn, fingering and lace. While the cuff, hem and neckline works in fingering weight yarn, the body and sleeves works in lace weight yarn. You can personalize it, using different colors, like in a fade, or color block or even stripes.
Finished circumference at bust:
92 (98, 106, 112) 120, 128, 137, 141 cm / 36 (39, 42, 44) 47, 50, 54, 56” intended to be worn with a 5-10 cm / 2-4” positive ease approx.
Finished sleeve circumference at upper arm:
37 (38,5, 41,5, 46) 48, 52,5, 55,5, 61,5 cm / 14,5 (15, 16,5, 18) 19, 20,5, 22, 24,5”.
Yarn:
C1: Fingering weight yarn 115 (123, 132, 141) 150, 159, 170, 179 mts / 125 (130, 135, 139) 145, 149, 154, 159 yards.
C2: Lace weight yarn 424 (457, 498, 547) 588, 644, 680, 742 mts / 464 (500, 544, 598) 643, 705, 743, 812 yards.
Gauge: 13 sts X 13 rows = 10 cm/ 4” Measured over stockinette stich after blocking with 6 mm / US 10 circular needles or size to obtain gauge.
Needles:
N1: 3,5 mm / US 4 circular needles - 80 cm / 32” circular cable length, and preferred needles for small circumference knitting.
N2: 6 mm / US 10 circular needles or size need to obtain gauge - 80 cm / 32” circular cable length, and preferred needles for small circumference knitting.
Suggested yarn:
C1: Qing fibre’s Merino Single (100% Merino Superwash, 366 m / 100 g per skein) color Electronics.
C2: Qing fibre’s Kid Silk Mohair (70% Ultrafine Kid Mohair, 30% Silk, 420 m / 50 g per skein) color Electronics.
Notions: Stitch markers (9), scrap yarn, tapestry needle, scissors.
