I have wanted to write a pattern like this for a long time - but the sadness of working on a gown which will be used perhaps for the burial of babies born too soon has been a ‘hurdle’ I have struggled to overcome. It has been a bitter-sweet project for me - that is why I chose to put sweet in the name. I really do hope that this will bring a little joy to families in a time of such sadness……… .

These little gowns should be knitted in white -
and please check their suitability with the charity groups you support.

4ply yarn, 3.25mm needles
