You can knit this all in one colour or use up your scrap yarn and create a colour block effect as photographed (notes included in the pattern)

Tension square is knitting with DK/Lightweight (3) yarn using 3mm needles in stocking stitch

You only need to know how to cast on and off, knit and purl and decrease stitches for this pattern (techniques are SSK (slip, slip, knit and K2tog (knit 2 sts together)

Sizes range from XS - XL, 33 - 52cm wide when lying flat

A simple crochet edge is added around the bottom and the back at the top, with method explained in the pattern
