Simple Washcloth No2
The second pattern in the Simple Washcloth Collection, this too is yet to be tech edited, and will remain free once done so. (I hope to get my Etsy shop open soon to be able to pay my tech editor comfortably but want to be transparent with you all. Thank you all so much for all the love the first washcloth has been given. I am on hand for any pattern support, should there be the need).
Simple Washcloth No2 is such a fun and simple knit, using knit and purl stitches to create the hurdle stitch pattern, it is the perfect quick knit for gifts.
A crochet hoop is a lovely optional extra. I love these little hoops for hanging the washcloth to dry between uses and after machine washing. Yes, machine washing!! This cotton washes so well, I chuck it in with towels or commercial flannels and they come out perfect!
For this pattern you will need:
50g ball of DK cotton ( I can get 2 cloths and maybe a puff out of one ball).
3mm needles.
3mm crochet hook.
Darning needle for weaving in those ends!
The washcloths themselves are smaller than average but you can make them bigger or smaller by casting on a stitch count multiple by 4, so have fun! Of course, this will affect the yardage used.
I would love to see your finished washcloths! You can tag me on Instagram - I am atlittlewonderfibreco over there and use the hashtag #littlewonderfibreco. I love seeing everyone’s projects, so please do feel free to share your lovely knits with us all!!
There will be 4 washcloths in this collection in total and I love each one!
I hope this little pattern brings you some calm in these strange times, Stay Safe!!
