Just take some soft yarn and knit and purl in the round for this cozy cowl in garter stitch. It’s a rewarding 1-skein-project.

This is a very simple pattern or rather “recipe” for knitting a cowl. I am posting it here for the beginning knitter.
Longtail cast-on, knitting, purling and stretchy bind-off are required, some links with instructions are given.
Tips and thoughts about the construction of a cowl and about calculating the amount of yarn needed for cast-on and bind-off may also interest other knitters.
