This is my first knitted sweater, as simple as I could make it. Boat neck, no ribbing, 3/4 sleeves, with just enough waist and sleeve shaping to add a bit of elegance. Top-down construction means no seaming!

The file includes versions of the pattern in women’s even sizes from 32 to 48, and includes a schematic for each size.

I’ve worked up a yardage estimate chart to use as a guide, but keep in mind that these are estimates. Your use will depend on gauge, arm and torso length, any additions like ribbing, all that good stuff. I’ve included a buffer for safety, but for extras like longer sleeves consider the larger amount.

Yardage Estimates
32: 675 — 844
34: 722 — 902
36: 752 — 942
38: 811 — 1014
40: 857 — 1071
42: 898 — 1122
44: 952 — 1190
46: 1006 —1258
48: 1056 — 1320

** Note: Unlike some other patterns, this one includes each size as a separate section. Please find your size and print, no need to run off the whole 19-page file!

If you’re not interested in the paid version (or just want to see more of the great versions folks have made), feel free to use Simplest Sweater (women’s size 34, available at no charge) as the basis for your own modifications. (No commercial use, please, or resale without prior permission.) Enjoy!
