The Simplicity Slouchy Hat is basic with a twist! This pattern is designed with a very slight wide set rib brim, for texture, which is carried into the body of the hat in a dispersed formation. The crown shaping is worked with center-double decreases for structure. The simplicity of this pattern allows for a multitude of yarns – whether tonal or solid, speckled or tweed!

The Simplicity Slouchy Hat is written for both Fingering weight and heavy DK / worsted yarns, offering two finished weight options for weather variety.
See Simplicity Slouchy Hat for heavier weight version.

I personally love the Fingering weight version for Springtime temperatures while the heavier weight Simplicity Slouchy Hat is great for Fall and Winter.

This is a fun and quick beginner-friendly design!
