Simply Cushy Pen or Pencil Grip
Ever wonder what to do with those spare bits of colorful wool sock yarn that you just can’t bear to throw away? Can’t get enough of the deliciously soft feel of thick wool felt?
This is a fast, easy knitting pattern to create a wonderfully plush, cushy grip for standard pens and pencils … and it only takes about 30 minutes of knitting and 10 yards of fingering or sock yarn. (Fulling it in the washing machine takes a little additional time and a few more every-day materials, of course, but somethings are just worth it.)
The pattern calls for size 7 (4.5 mm) circular or double pointed needles and is knit in the round. If you’re like me and hate dpns (well, they don’t seem to agree with me, anyway), you can use either the magic loop method or use two circular needles at once.
Technical support is happily available via e-mail, so don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or comments.
