Simply Iris Shawl
Simply Iris Shawl is the 1st pattern of my new collection Simply Iris.
If you have recently learned to crochet and are comfortable with US Double Crochets (Trebles in UK stitch terms) then this would be a good first attempt at a triangular shaped shawl.
The Iris stitch is made with only DC and a chain stitch in between so is a really pretty easy stitch for beginners to master. The border is optional but again it is made using just US Single and Double Crochets
It’s a triangular shawl starting at the top and increasing by 4 stitches on each row, 1 on each end and 2 in the centre point of the shawl.
The shawl is in two sizes and I have given you stitch counts for every row.
I have added quite a bit of detail on how to count the stitches on the rows as this pattern is aimed at a beginner, if you are more accomplished please don’t be offended if the additional notes are more than you need!
