The pattern includes options for a one or multi-colored beanie with/without cables in the body section, and with all versions ending in a pretty cabled crown, so no pom necessary (unless you want one). Using only knit, slip stitch and front cable stitches, both sizes knit up surprisingly quickly in a rhythmic and repetitive knit with great results. It’s a perfect candidate for market prep! It’s fast and with its subtle cables and colorful options, you can make many unique hats to suit just about anyone! Even sports fans will love it in favorite team colors! Pattern is written in US terms for circular needles and includes tables and links to video tutorials for clarity. The tables help make the instructions easy to follow, though, reading pattern throughly before beginning is recommended. It is also the perfect pattern for using up your left-over stash of yarn!

Adult beanie fits approximately 18-22” head circumference.
Child beanie fits approximately 14-18” head circumference.
Using recommended yarn will allow hat to stretch comfortably.

Skill level:
Moderately easy pattern suitable for knitters with only a little experience. Results in a beautiful traditional hat, with a classic and stunning crown. No pompom required!

Materials You Will Need:
WORSTED: size 4.5 mm/US 7 and 5 mm/US 8 circular needles with 16” cord; 5 mm/US 8 double point needles for crown decrease.
Adult - 150 yards/137 meters; Child - 120 yards/110 meters.
LIGHT BULKY: size 5.5 mm/US 9 and 6 mm/US 10 circular needles with 16” cord; 6 mm/US 10 double point needles for crown decrease.
Adult - 132 yards/120 meters; Child - 91 yards/83 meters.
