A customer sent me a photo of a knitted headband and wanted a hat with the same pattern. I had to tell her, “I don’t know how to knit but could make something like it in crochet”. She said ok and I went to work.

While tucking in ends on the hat, I realized the inside of the hat has gorgeous stitching and without realizing it, I had made an awesome reversible hat!

Then, while taking photo’s, I got thinking about the spiral and how it would look with surface crochet and after giving it a shot, decided to include that option in the pattern.

Then, while flipping the hat inside out and back again, I set it down and realized I hadn’t completely turned it and this nice rolled brim was right in front of me. Yes!, another option for this hat.

Needless to say, all good things must come to an end. As there are tons of other things that need to be made, this pattern had to be finished. So I bring to you a wonderful hat pattern with a knitted look that is also reversible and you have the option of adding surface crochet or a rolled brim.
