This hat was made to resemble the super traditional, knit-like hat a lot of us grew up with. Super easy pattern suitable for crochet era of all levels. Stitches used for this hat are the waistcoat stitch (single crochet in the middle of the stitch) and half double crochet.
This hat is super comfortable, warm and can be made in many sizes easily. Simply add or subtract rows from the band (brim) and follow the crochet pattern as written to adjust to the size you need.
