Simple and easy for a nice light weight hat that keeps you warm.

Gauge is not a major factor in this hat since the ribbing has a lot of give to it. Be sure to use a nice stretchy cast on and you will have plenty of room.

Do keep in mind that changing your needle size can dramatically change how the colors pool. I tried this hat with a change to a US 6 after the brim and the pooling broke. I frogged back to the brim and switched back to a US 4 for the entire hat and the cool pooling came back.
