This mini crochet drawstring pouch is super cute and a fun beginner project! It uses the basic stitches and has so many uses. Made with acrylic or cotton worsted weight yarn, it’s a small project that would be ideal for stash busting or if you’re looking for some ideas to fill up a basket on your market table.

Originally published in 2019, this mini drawstring pouch has received a refreshing update in April 2023! This pattern was first called the “Simply Striped Drawstring Pouch”. It has been updated to be more beginner friendly using only one colour throughout the bag. If you prefer the striped version, simply change yarn colours each round.

Materials Needed:

• Worsted weight cotton or acrylic yarn. I used WeCrochet Comfy in “Seafoam” (colour A, approx. 22 yards) and “Planetarium” (colour B, approx. 3 yards)
• 4mm hook (drawstring)
• 5mm hook (bag)
• Yarn needle
• Scissors
• Measuring tape
