This cuff down, heel-flap sock is our favourite type of simple sock here at The Loveliest Yarn Company. The pattern has been written with new-to-sock knitters in mind.

The pattern is structured for distribution on 4 double pointed needles and knitting with the 5th needle but can be knit on your preferred sock needles.

The socks photographed in the pattern have been knit using West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4 Ply Yarn but other 4 ply yarns can be substituted.

The construction and sock sizes in the pattern are based on those found in Kate Atherley’s ‘Custom Sock’ book which we believe no sock knitter should be without. Details have only been used following request.
