This is a simple knitted cardigan vest, with a deep v-neck front.
It is a great first garment for new knitters.
Pattern is clearly written, with detailed instructions included for all shaping.

The vest is knit in 3 pieces - back and 2 fronts, which are joined at the shoulders using a 3 needle bind off.

Required skills are casting on, knitting, binding off, k2tog and ssk decreases (which are explained in pattern), yarn over increase, 3 needle bind off, picking up and knitting stitches (for front neckband).

The vest will fit a variety of shapes and sizes, and instructions are included for adjusting the length.

Approximate Sizes:
Extra Small ( 30” finished bust );
Small ( 34” finished bust );
Medium ( 38” finished bust );
Large ( 42” finished bust );
Extra Large ( 46” finished bust )

Recommended yarn:
5/5/6/6/7 skeins Berroco Ultra Alpaca Chunky (131 yards/100 grams each), or equivalent yarn.
Recommended needle size 10.
Body pieces are knit flat, so you can use either straight or circular needles. You will need a 24” or longer circular needle, to accommodate neckband stitches.

Change needle as necessary, to achieve gauge of 3.5 sts per inch in garter stitch.

I hope you’ll enjoy knitting and wearing this versatile vest. Please post photos of your finished garments!
