Please enjoy -50% off! MY Simponeater
Why did I choose this name? This sweater is simplicity itself, and a cross between a poncho and a sweater, so I called it “Simponeater”.
This is a dream sweater: beautifully simple and a joy to knit as well as to wear. Simponeater is a gorgeous, naturally oversized sweater perfect for variable early season weather. A super fun and fast knitting project, and is the perfect first time project for those knitters who have always been afraid of making a sweater. With its comfortable relaxed oversized fit, you will be sure that it will fit you no matter what. Hours of relaxing, meditative and simple knitting time result in relaxed garter stitch goodness with contrasting color detail. Colors and contrast take center stage in this circular yoke pullover. It’s the perfect traveling or TV time project. Wear it over your favorite dress, with jeans, with skirt or even layered over your favorite nightwear. I really do love the way this sweater turned out. Every stitch was enjoyable and it is one of the most versatile pieces in my wardrobe.
Simponeater is a comfortable and relaxed round-yoke sweater worked completely seamlessly from the top down as one piece featuring meditative garter stitch, with two strands of wool/mohair fingering/lace or other weight yarn held together and requires minimal finishing. Starting at the neckline, short rows are worked back and forth to create a higher back neck and then the round-yoke is worked down to the sleeve separation. The sleeve stitches are then placed on hold, underarm stitches are cast on and the rest of the body is worked in rounds down to the hem. The straight balloon sleeves are also worked top down to the 1x1 twisted colorful Rib cuffs.
The sweater is designed to fit with a lots of positive ease. If you want your sweater to have a closer fit, you can knit a smaller size. Adjust the length of the sleeves and the body easily to fit your personal style (perfect try-on-as-you-knit sweater).
This design is simple enough for a beginner, but still engaging for advanced knitters.
