For SINA we finally implemented the long-planned slanted shoulder technique and a casual oversized look.
The cardigan begins with the neckband, from which the back stitches are picked up. The back piece is shaped with inclined increases, and when the required width of the back is reached, it is knitted straight to the armhole.
The stitches for the front pieces are then picked up from the edges of the slanted shoulder lines. While knitting the front pieces, the front bands are worked along and increases are made for the V-neckline. Finally, the sleeve stitches are picked up from the armhole and the sleeves are knitted
NEEDLES:
Circular needles and dpns (or magic loop) US6 (4,0 mm) and US7 (4,5 mm), or needle size required to obtain gauge.
GAUGE:
19 M x 27 Row in stockinette on larger needles for 4 x 4 inch (10 x 10 cm), gauge swatch washed.
TOOLS:
Stitch markers, darning needle, scraps of yarn or stitch holder for holding stitches aside.
TECHNIQUES:
Slanted increases m1L / m1R knitted knitwise and purlwise,
increases LLI / RLI, and decreases k2tog / ssk.
