Sine Wave Cloche Hat
Intermediate - however, adventurous beginners can make this hat!
Written in US terminology
Inspired by trigonometry, Sine Wave is a beaded, cloche-style hat knit from the top down in one piece on one circular needle with interchangeable tips. There is no need to pre-string beads!
The hat edge rolls upward, highlighting the beautiful beads while adding structure and creating a space to add millinery wire, if desired, for an even more structured hat.
Follow along with the video tutorial.
Techniques include Judy’s Magic Cast On (JMCO), working in the round from the top down, Right Lifted Increase (RLI), and beadwork.
