I love having a TON of dishcloths for wiping toddler hands after meals and cleaning off the table and counters. I’m on the hunt to find my favorite dishcloth stitch and size. Here is the latest addition to that collection!

The single crochet spike stitch to me is a great stitch to practice ahead of learning the honeycomb stitch, which I use in a few upcoming patterns. Stay tuned.

When I first saw the honeycomb stitch, I thought that was way too involved for me. Having learned the single crochet spike stitch, the honeycomb stitch then felt so much more attainable!

In any case, on its own the single crochet spike stitch is just beautiful. I love the woven texture it produces.
