NEEDLES
Circular needles, at least 40 in (100 cm) in length, in two sizes:
❖ US 8 / 5 mm or size needed to obtain gauge
❖ US 6 / 4 mm or two sizes smaller than main needles
Double-pointed needles in the same two sizes for the sleeves and smaller circumferences, if you’re not using the magic-loop method
GAUGE
❖ 18 sts and 24 rnds = 4 in (10 cm) in stockinette stitch in the round, blocked
❖ 16 sts and 26 rnds = 4 in (10 cm) in pattern in the round with larger needles
TOOLS
❖ Stitch markers (8), stitch holders or waste yarn ,and a tapestry needle
