Sinuosity is a cute little unisex baby cardigan knitting pattern featuring a wavy patterned yoke and scalloped lower edge. This quick and easy one-piece jacket is knitted seamlessly from the top down.
The pattern can be used with sock yarn, either solid or hand-dyed and variegated, (1 2, 2, 2, 2 skein(s)) plus a small amount of contrasting yarn of the same weight (optional). The contrasting stripe highlights the short-row pattern but can be omitted if the colour changes in the yarn are in longer sections (more than a few centimetres), as the contours of the pattern will be clearer.
The instructions include five sizes (newborn – 3 months, 3 - 6, 6 - 12, 12 - 18 months and 18 months to 2 years). Detailed written instructions are included, as well as a schematic diagram. All measurements are given in both metric and imperial.
The cardigan yoke and body are knitted flat, while instructions are given for knitting the sleeves either flat or in-the-round. The German short-row technique is used.
