This, my friends, is the easiest three-colour stranded floral pattern I’ve been able to come up with. There’s never more than two strands per round and zero floats of more than five stitches! Add a solid colour toe and ditto peasant heel (aka forethought heel), both worked in the round, and you have a beginner level stranded sock. For a more polished look I’ve opted for a folded cuff, but instructions for a super basic non-folded one are included as well.

One size only. Experienced knitters may of course size up or down by adjusting the gauge.

I live in the cold, cold North and knit socks to fit our climate, hence the use of a hardwearing DK wool/synthetic blend. Novita Nalle’s very “sticky” and therefore good at stopping holes from spreading. It is, however, a little coarse before washing, and can be hard to find outside of Northern Europe. You may use any sock yarn that knits to the desired gauge.

Happy knitting!
