Sirenia
Sirenia - the order of aquatic mammals consisting of dugongs and manatees, named after the mermaids that lonely sailors sometimes mistook them for.
These socks have a cabled cuff and an all over lace and cable leg which gives the impression of a beautiful, seaweedy, garden. Perhaps the grazing grounds for a manatee, or home to a mermaid. The pattern is elastic.
Thank you to my test knitters Knittingall and Zaryffa.
