I created this shawl as an introduction to knitting with beads. The construction is easy to follow and it is worked from the bottom up.

The shawl measurements are approximately 150 cm (59 in) long and 52 cm (20,4 in) wide.

The pattern includes a link to some tutorials (not mine) that will introduce you to knitting with beads which aims to help beginners.

The shawl is made from 2 x Louisa Harding Amitola fingering/4ply shade Elvira (124) and 2 bags Debbie Abrahams beads size 6 shade Night Sky (alternatively you can use 4 mm beads about 30 grams/ 500 beads).

Tools:
Circular needles size US 8 / 5mm and US 7 / 4.5 mm over 31’’ / 80 cm cable,
US 14 / 0.5 mm steel hook (for beading),
30 stitch markers.

Difficulty: Intermediate. Stitches required: Knit, k2tog, purl, p2tog, sk2p (slip 1 k2tog, pass slipped stitch over), yo, ssk.

Pattern Style: abbreviated
