The Sirius Skirt is a modern handknit take on a classic houndstooth pattern. There are customizations throughout the pattern so that the skirt perfectly fits your measurements and there are options for different shapes for the skirt. Just a warning, that means there is some math that you will need to do!

Sizing is based on the waist and the hip and bottom of the skirt measurements can be customized later on. The final skirt measurements are (56.9, 64.6, 72.3, 80, 87.7), 95.4, 103.1, 110.8, 118.5, 126.2, (133.8, 141.5, 149.2, 156.9, 164.6, 172.3) cm/(22.4, 25.4, 28.5, 31.5, 34.5), 37.6, 40.6, 43.6, 46.7, 49.7, (52.7, 55.7, 58.7, 61.8, 64.8, 67.8). The skirt is meant to be worn with 0 - 10cm/0 – 4 inches of negative ease so will fit 56.9-182.3 cm/22.4-71.8 inch waists.

The hip measurements you can choose from are (133.8, 141.5, 149.2, 156.9, 164.6), 172.3, 180, 187.7, 195.4, 203.1, (210.8, 218.5, 226.2, 233.8) cm/(52.7, 55.7, 58.7, 61.8, 64.8), 67.8, 70.9, 73.9, 76.9, 80, (83, 86, 89.1, 92) inches, again worn with 0-10 cm/0-4 inches of negative ease.

Gauge: 26 sts x 27 rnds = 10 cm/4 inches x 10 cm/4 inches in houndstooth pattern after blocking, ideally should be swatched in the round

Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle, 5 cm/2 inch-thick sewing elastic that is at least 5 cm/2 inches longer than your waist measurement (a thinner sewing elastic can be substituted it will just be skinnier than the width of your folded waistband)
Yarn: 2 colors of sport weight yarn (sample made in BC Garn Semilla GOTS)

Estimated yardage is based on final skirt hip measurement and an a-line skirt shaping. Yardage is shown per color (double it for total yardage). The sample is knit to the mini length.
