I asked my girls sitting in front of the fireplace, what kind of socks they would like to wear. This is what they want: Sis socks. Woolen socks, soft and light, warm and cozy and nice to wear in boots.

Sis socks had a cuff with colourwork and latvian braids. The socks are worked with a twist, so you can wear the cuff over the boot. There is a ribbed cuff inside for a good fit.

The socks are worked from the cuff down with a short row heel.

I used light, warm and earthy tones. Beautiful grey and brown colours. For the colour work pattern at the cuff I used Alpaka. I love the soft shine from the Alpaka wool.

This pattern is written in english and german.

Sizes: 36/37 (38/39, 40/41, 42/43)
Foot length 21.5 (23, 24.5, 26) cm 8.5 (9, 9.5, 10) inches

The sample socks were knitted with 2.5 DPN needles using
MC: 60 g (210 m/ 50 g) Filcolana arwetta classic and
Filcolana indiecita solids & melange
CC1 : 5 g, colour 973 brown
CC2 : 10g, colour 100 white
CC3 : 13 g, colour 401 lightgrey

Als ich meine Töchter, vor dem Ofen sitzend fragte, wie ihre Lieblingssocken aussehen würden, wünschten sie sich warme kuschelige Socken, in natürlichen Farben, leicht und zum Krempeln, perfekt für Boots: Sis Socks
Die Socken werden vom Bündchen abwärts mit einer Bumerangferse gestrickt.
Die Socken habe ich in erdigen warmen Tönen gestrickt. Schöne Grau und Brauntöne. Für das Umschlagbündchen habe ich Alpaka verstrickt. Ich liebe den soften Schein des Alpakas. Im Fuß habe ich robustere Wolle verwendet.
Der Fuß kann beliebig verlängert werden und die Weite nach dem Umschlagbündchen an die Fußbreite angepasst werden.

Größe: 36/37 (38/39, 40/41, 42/43)
Fußlänge: 21.5 (23, 24.5, 26) cm

Für den Umschlag kann man gut Reste verwerten.
Man braucht ca. 5 g in Braun (CC1), 10 g in Weiß (CC2), 13 g in Lichtgrau (CC3). Für den Socken je nach Fußlänge 50 - 70 g.
