Sisterhood Cowl

on days i could not move / it was women / who came to water my feet / until i was strong enough / to stand / it was women / who nourished me / back to life
~Rupi Kaur
This pattern is a celebration of sisterhood. Like the poem by Rupi Kaur, it is women who have loved me, believed in me, and supported me. And when I have waded through difficult times, it is women who have entered the murky water and given me their hand.
We are so lucky to part of a craft that is brimming with creative, generous, inspiring women. In my own little corner of the knitting world, I am especially grateful to the wonderful community I have at my own local yarn shop, My Sister Knits in Fort Collins, Colorado. The Sisterhood Cowl is dedicated to these beautiful souls. May you, too, reflect on the sisterhood in your life as you create your own versions of this cowl! Perhaps you might even be inspired to gift one to a friend :)
NOTES
Design & Construction: The Sisterhood Cowl is an all-over textured mosaic cowl that is knit flat from the bottom up. Increases are worked to form a triangular shape and then the piece is knit even until the intended neck length is achieved. The finished cowl is seamed using mattress stitch. I-cord selvages and a 2-color i¬-cord bind off create polished edges.
Stitch Patterns: Written and charted instructions are included for stitch patterns so you can choose your preferred method of instructions for knitting these sections!
