Sisters is full of fun and urban style, comfortable to wear through any season. This particular cardigan is inspired by sisterly love - particularly how I feel about my sister. She’s strong, bold, and loads of fun. I wanted the outcome to be easy yet funky and stylish. Bold stripes are everywhere, but I wanted a bit of a twist on mine. Hence, a small bit of colour stranding that even a novice knitter can handle separates each stripe. Embellishing with embroidery by sporadically splashing a few fun roses on the cardigan creates something textured and special!

The cardigan is worked back and forth on a circular needle from the bottom up until the divide for the armholes. The fronts and back are then worked separately. The shoulders, with a few German Short Rows for shaping, are joined with a 3-needle bind off. The sleeves are picked up along the armhole edge and worked in the round. Sleeve instructions are written to use a short circular needle, however an alternate method of working small circumferences can be used, such as Magic-Loop, or DPNs.
