Sitka Spruce Cowl (Standard)
This design is inspired by the chilly fog, drifting quietly through the pine trees, as your boots crunch across the freshly fallen snow. Perfectly Pacific Northwest, this intricate design provides a balanced mixture of colorwork and texture, inspiring knitters to learn new techniques will getting into the winter mood.
The Sitka Spruce Cowl is a stranded colorwork, single sided cowl. This pattern requires approx. 2 skeins of DK weight yarn, in two coordinating colors. I recommend using high contrast colors so that the detailed stitch pattern is clear within the knitting.
Special Techniques
Stranded colorwork in the round, reading charts, catching long floats, bobble stitch, Latvian braid, and corrugated ribbing.
