Siv
Siv Half-Mitts are worked with construction and patterning developed and traditionally used for mittens and gloves in Selbu, Norway.
Siv includes a women’s cuff, a reverse heart rose, a single star and a patterned palm. Many thanks to Anne Bårdsgård for her book, Selbu Mittens, published by Trafalgar Square Books of North Pomfret, Vermont. Pattern requires the following skills: working in the round in small circumferences, increasing and decreasing, stranded knitting in two colors.
Siv Half-Mitts are intended to be worn with approximately 0/0cm ease in circumference. Measure around the palm of dominate hand, just below the knuckles, excluding thumb.
