• SIZE : The knitting pattern was written to fit average adult women head size . The wool and pattern are stretchy so they can be adjusted to the size of the head S (54-55 cm ) M ( 56-57 cm ) L ( 58-59 cm )

• NEEDLES : Circular needles 3 mm (US2, ½ /UK11) 40 cm (16 inches ) long , or Circular needles with a long cable for the Magic Loop method (80 cm/32” or longer) or set of double-pointed needles .

• YARN : Merino extra fine 100% wool 50 g(1,8 oz) = 105 m(115 yds)/ 8 ply/DK/ worsted Needed : 120 g ( 252 m , 276 yds ) recommended yarn: Drops Merino Extra fine mix 50g (1,8 oz) = 105 m (115 yds)

• GAUGE : 21 sts x 28 rows in stockinette stitch on 3 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4 inches

• SKILLS : Italian Tubular Cast On or Factory Cast On , Half Fishermans rib , knit ,purl, slip , yarn in front , yarn in back ,knit below, purl below, knit3tog ,s1-k2tog-psso , central double decrease

Construction
The cap is knitted as a vertical construction, which means that we knit in the direction of the depth of the hat, from the brim to the top of the head. Each part of the hat is made separately : the brim, then the body and finally the crown; we throw it by the edge, we throw it away at the crown.
The edge of the brim is stretchy, and it was made by imposing the eyes using the Italian Tubular Cas On. The edge of the blue hat is made using Factory Cast On .The rim is ribbed, knitted Half Fishermansrib wrong side and when folded it looks like a body. Body is knitted Half Fishermanss rib right side.Crown is knitted by gradually subtracting towards the top.

Instructions :
Italian Tubular Cast On 1x1 rib in the round , or Factory Cast On .
The hat is knitted from bottom to top in rounds on .
The cover cuff is knitted in the left Half Fisherman“s Rib and body is knitted in the right Half Fisherman”s Rib .This results in the same pattern on the front when the cuff is turned over.
