The pattern includes written instructions and charts for knitting in the round Easter Eggs with different textures.
The Eggs are knitted in the round (use double pointed or circular needles) and shaped with knitting increases and decreases.
They may be knit in any yarn weight (any kind of yarn, any Wool, Cotton, Acrylic etc). In order to keep fabric tight enough so that the stuffing won’t show through, you should use needles smaller than what’s recommended for the yarn.
Egg’s size depends on your yarn, knitting tension and filling density.
Approximate size:
The height is 8 cm (3¼”) and the diameter is 5.5 cm (2⅛”).
Gauge:
30 stitches and 42 rows = 10 cm
Yarn:
~20 meters (22 yards) of any Sport Weight Yarn per egg
e.g.: Drops Safran (100% Cotton, 160m/50g)
Needles (double pointed or circular):
№2.25 — №2.5, depends on your knitting tension (use needles smaller than recommended for the yarn)
Approximate size:
The height is 6.5 cm (2½”) and the diameter is 4.7 cm (1⅞”)
Gauge:
34 stitches and 46 rows = 10 cm
Yarn:
~22 meters (24 yards) of any Socks or Fingering Yarn per egg
e.g.: Drops Fabel (75% Wool, 25% Polyamide; 205m / 50g)
Needles (double pointed or circular):
№2 — №2.25, depends on your knitting tension (use needles smaller than recommended for the yarn)
