This lace doily features an allover stitch pattern reminding of the buds and emerging petals of the fuchsia plant, which are sometimes called “ballerinas”. Its embossed effect is created by using knit as well as purl stitches in the lace.
Work starts from the center out, beginning with an Adjustable Magic Ring as know from crochet, after which the doily is worked in the round first on 3 needles, changing to 4 needles around the middle of the chart.
Stitches are bound off with a crochet hook.
For a maximum “Fuchsia” effect, beaded sprigs of “stamina” are added during the bind-off row.

Dieses Spitzendeckchen wird von der Mitte aus im Fuchsienblütenmuster, auch als „Kleine Ballerinas“ bekannt, in einem Stück gestrickt. Das Lacemuster wirkt durch rechte und linke Maschen besonders reliefartig.
Begonnen wird in der Mitte mit einem Magischen Ring wie beim Häkeln von Amigurumis, danach wird das Deckchen in Runden zuerst mit 3, ungefähr ab der Mitte der Strickschrift mit 4 Strumpfnadeln gestrickt.
