Construction
Knit from tip to tip in wide ribbing with a 3x3 knit and purl pattern. The increases and decreases are made in the central ribbing section, where you also work turns/short rows to shape the hood. The width and length of the scarf can be adjusted to make it wider/narrower or longer/shorter.

Size guide
The Sjalaclava/Shawlaclava comes in one size. It is a bit oversized to make sure you can keep your hair style intact. The patterns has tips for how to chancge the length and with of the scarf. If you want a smaller/tighter shawlaclava, simply use smaller needles and thinner yarn.

Choice of yarn
Feel free to choose whatever yarn that is appropiate to fit the gauge as long as it the fibres are not too heavy. The mohair makes it look sculptural and cool (and is a better fit if you want more of a round hood), the merino/mohair makes it sit tighter and have more of a drape.
