Visiting the Skansen Open Air museum in Stockholm, Sweden, and seeing the wonderful knitted shawls worn by the women demonstrating traditional crafts reminded me that one stitch at a time, as we knit a hat or a shawl, we also knit together a life and a story that lets us travel through time, tying past, present, and future together into one magical garment.

This shawl is made straight in one long piece and it is meant to be worn wrapped around the torso like a vest. Pattern includes a photo tutorial on how to wrap the finished shawl.
