6. This hat has a wider, more open style brim than most hats to accommodate wearing a ball cap under it, for curly/thick hair, or wearing headphones
7. Gauge: DC and HDC combined rows: Using size “J” (5.75 MM) hook: 5 rows = 4”; 13 sts = 4”
8. Chain 2’s at beginning of rows count in stitch count
9. Numbers in parenthesis are total number of sts you’ll make for each round
10. Stitch patterns within brackets are to be made the number of times stated outside of the bracket
11. Wash finished product in luke-warm or cold water and tumble dry on low heat or lay out flat to dry
