Skeleton Fish Bone Mittens
Skeleton fish bones or the cats’ breakfast?
Are you a knitter looking for a really different mitten knitting pattern to make that perfect gift for that fish or cat lover in your life? Or maybe for yourself?
Originally inspired by the question “do pirates eat fish?” this skeleton fish bones mitten knitting pattern is recommended for intermediate knitters familiar with reading charts and stranded colorwork. The pattern is on a downloadable PDF digital file and includes instructions and easy to follow design charts.
You can knit these mittens in any two contrasting colors in the yarn of your choice. The pattern is also quite striking in black and white! The mittens pictured were knit using sock/fingering weight and 2mm needles for a women’s med / teen size but you could easily use smaller needles to make a child-size mitten or DK weight and larger needles to make a larger adult size.
