Named after a geometrical term (‘skews’ are non-parallel lines that never intersect), stripes of alternating welts are worked to create a cosy, textured accessory.

The Skew Lines hat is worked in the round from the bottom up. After the garter stitch brim is completed, a welt stitch pattern is worked to create textured stripes. Up each side of the
hat is a narrow vertical garter stitch stripe, along which the crown decreases happen. After the decreases, the top of the hat is completed by grafting the remaining stitches together.

S (M, L), designed to fit with 4-10 cm negative ease. Shown in size M.
